We are especially involved in large-scale electricity projects for aluminum smelters and mines, as well as pulp and paper plants. We provide the same services for activities that are not regulated by the construction industry. ALUMINUM SMELTERS
Grimard offers specialized expertise to meet aluminum smelter’s high power demands. Be it for an electrical installation, maintenance or other project, our teams continue to stand out for their excellent work, efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Over the years, we’ve developed unparalleled know-how in aluminum welding, mainly for bus work used to transport electricity.
Thanks to our professional management team and qualified welder-electricians, we have successfully completed complex, large-scale work for many aluminum smelters and hydroelectric stations.
Grimard is certified by the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) for Standards CSA W47.1-03 (steel) and CSA W47.2 (aluminum).
MINES
Over the years, Grimard has completed large-scale electrical installation work in mines located in Quebec and elsewhere in Canada. Mining facilities are generally in remote locations, so we have to mobilize key personnel while also including local workers. Grimard has taken part in many major projects calling for this type of staff planning and transportation logistics.
PULP AND PAPER
There are a great many pulp and paper plants in Quebec and Canada and they require a great deal of maintenance and updating. As a result of new forms of technology, these plants must integrate systems combining instrumentation and process control in order to optimize their production. Grimard has participated in many electric installations projects in these plants, enabling them to maintain a level of expertise that meets the industry’s requirements.
