70 years of continuous growth

Founded in Chicoutimi in 1944, this family business gave rise to the other divisions operating under the corporate banner: Construction Grimard inc., Automatisation Grimard inc., Télécommunications Grimard inc. and GRIMARD.ca. inc., with which it occasionally carries out joint projects.

In 70 years, from small- to large-scale projects, Électricité Grimard has experienced steady growth, serviced loyal clients and climbed its way up the ranks to become a leader in its field. It is therefore present on Québec’s major construction sites.

We execute general and specialized contracting work and participate in large-scale electricity and instrumentation projects. We have developed a great deal of expertise in the industry and namely offer services in the following sectors: power electrical facilities, control facilities, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic instrumentation and high-voltage control houses.

Through SEMIC, which operates outside of the construction sector, we provide the same services for non-construction projects.

Our offices are located in Chicoutimi, in the Saguenay region, where the company was founded. We also operate an office in Laval to serve the greater Montréal area.

Whether in the sector of aluminium smelting, metallurgy, energy, wood or government institutions, Éléctricité Grimard has its clients and partners benefit from the expertise of a qualified and experienced team. Engineers, technicians, project managers, foremen and electricians—some of whom have spent their entire career with Électricité Grimard—all work toward ensuring the success of the most complex projects. Their primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction.

A longevity based on a long-term vision, outstanding service quality and the constant desire to innovate.
